Terms and conditions of sale for private individuals:

1. Articles and general points of the online shop:

The general conditions of sale and usage of the Kamishibai® Universe shop owned by Kamishibai Universe, S.L. described hereafter define the rights and responsibilities of Kamishibai Universe, S.L. towards its registered users.

Kamishibai Universe, S.L. is a Spanish limited liability company domiciled in Calle Lugo, 22, 28430, Alpedrete (Madrid) SPAIN, registered in the Mercantile Registry of Madrid, Volume: 20087, Book: 0, Sheet: 152, Section 8, Page: M 354524, Inscription: 1 / Date: 31/05/2004, CIF (Tax ID number): B 83998807, according to its Articles of Association of a limited liability company n1 2056 issued in the presence of Mr. José Antonio García de Cortazar Nebreda, Notary belonging to the Official Association of Notaries of Madrid on the 4th of May 2004.

By means of their website, Kamishibai Universe, S.L. offers the possibility of purchasing books and whatsoever other product that the company may bring to market.

However, as of July 18, 2022, Kamishibai Universe, S.L. has eliminated all possibility of purchasing physical products on its website. This has been done by removing the "Add to cart" button and the price of such physical products.

2. Types of customers:

In the registration of an account the user must identify the type of client from the following two groups: Private Individuals and Libraries/Schools/Associations. Kamishibai Universe reserves the right to change a user’s category without prior notice.

3. Prices:

All the prices of the products are shown by means of the website https://kamishibai-universe.com are in Euros with all taxes included.

4. Special deals/promotions:

All deals/promotions will be applied directly in the shopping cart, with their absence implying that the order is not subject to the desired deal/promotion. Once these terms of sale are accepted and the order completed, it will not be possible to make a claim for the deal/promotion if the aforementioned deal/promotion did not appear in the shopping cart.

Pay special attention to section 8 (Deliveries) in case your order has a destination outside the European continent.

If your order combines physical products (such as a Kamishibai Theater or Kamishibai story) with virtual products (such as a download of MP3 Music and Sounds), only physical products will be considered for calculating shipping costs.

If the order includes any physical product offered free of charge through a promotion, the calculation of shipping costs will be made on the total value of the physical products, without taking into account the promotion applied. In other words, even if a physical product with the word Free! can be seen in the shopping cart, it will actually be calculated with its real value when determining the shipping costs, thus changing the calculation range if necessary.

6. Payments:

Payments shall be made by means of the following methods:

• Bank wire transfer (only available for EU countries and currently disabled for all countries). The order will be processed once payment has been received. To speed up the process we recommend sending the bank wire receipt.
• PayPal.
• Credit card (currently disabled). The platform instructed to handle credit card transactions is REDSYS. It processes more than 6 million online purchases each month and is based on 3D Secure and SAS technology, which consequently covers the entire purchasing process. Sieteleguas Ediciones will not have access to any information relating to the customer's payment beyond the transaction confirmation.

7. Formalization of orders:

Once an order is completed, Kamishibai Universe, S.L. will immediately send the registered user an email with all the details of the purchase: products, quantity and delivery address. The invoice for the purchase will be sent along with the order, which can also be downloaded from the My Orders section in the My Account area.

Kamishibai Universe, S.L. will not be responsible for the non-reception of this email in cases where it ends up in the SPAM folder, or if the customer's email server decides to refuse delivery or if the email address has not been entered correctly.

8. Deliveries:

The products offered on this website will be sent only to Albania, Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Denmark, Ecuador, Estonia, Finland, France, French Guiana, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Martinique, Mexico, Monaco, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Reunion Island, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, United Kingdom, Sweden, Switzerland, Uruguay, USA.

No shipments will be made outside of the aforementioned delivery zone.

Kamishibai Universe, S.L. undertakes to deliver the product(s) in perfect condition to the courier agency CTT Express, Correos, MRW, UPS or FedEx and to the address indicated by the user. In the event that a user cannot be found at their address at the time of delivery, CTT Express, Correos, MRW, UPS or FedEx will leave the relevant delivery notice so that the user can contact the agency or pick up the delivery at the nearest post office.

Kamishibai Universe, S.L. will treat as an export shipment any order with destination outside the continent of Europe. In the case that the total sum of the articles ordered exceeds 15Kg of weight, the option to choose carrier will be disabled. To be able to finalize the order it will be necessary to contact us, and we will develop a new shipping strategy, with the relevant associated costs and without having to comply with the conditions listed here. In addition, in the event of the application of customs duties, Kamishibai Universe S.L. shall have no contractual obligation neither of payment nor of prior notification to the customer. If the country receiver of the merchandise decides to apply an extra surcharge in order to obtain the merchandise, the client will assume this amount, since they are taxes that must be paid in the respective country.

Certain postcodes and addresses can be labelled ‘Difficult Neighbourhoods” by the selected courier agency. If the delivery address matches one of these addresses, the order will be delivered to the nearest courier agency franchise. A list of MRW’s difficult neighbourhoods in Spain can be found here.

Kamishibai Universe, S.L. does not undertake to deliver an order in a specific time period unless the selected mode of delivery indicates as much. Therefore, if a delivery is preferable only during afternoon-evening hours, for example, and this is only indicated in a message without selecting the appropriate mode of delivery (with the consequent surcharge), Kamishibai Universe, S.L. shall not assume any obligation to inform the courier agency of such a message.

Kamishibai Universe, S.L. reserves the right to use the external packaging it deems most convenient. Most of the products will be shipped in packages adjusted to the dimensions of the products and with the logo of the online store (Kamishibai Universe). The payment of a supplement for the gift wrap of the products does not entitle the user, in any case, to choose the type and appearance of the packaging in which they will be sent.

9. Delivery time:

Orders placed up to 11:00h am are shipped the same day. After that time they are sent the next working day. Once the order is processed, its status will change from "Payment accepted" to "Preparation in process".

The delivery time is 4-8 working days for shipments with destination within the European continent. The products that require different terms will reflect this particularity in their description.

Shipments to mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands have a delivery time frame of 48-72h working days.

Shipments to the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla will be delivered within 3-4 working days.

For all other destinations, the delivery time will be 10-20 working days.

The products will only be sent once the payment has been received.

Therefore, placing an order on a Friday at 14:00h will mean that it will be sent the next working day (Monday, probably).

10. Right of withdrawal for consumers and users of material goods:

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 calendar days without the need for justification. The withdrawal period shall expire 14 calendar days after the day on which you or a third party other than the carrier, as indicated by you, has acquired material possession of the goods.

of your decision to withdraw from the contract by means of an unambiguous statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, or e-mail).

You can use the withdrawal form model that you can download here, although its use is not mandatory.

In order to comply with the withdrawal period, it is sufficient that the communication concerning your exercise of this right is sent before the expiry of the relevant deadline.

10.1. Withdrawal consequences:

In the event of withdrawal on your part, we will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of additional costs resulting from your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery method that we offer) without any undue delay and in any event no later than 14 calendar days from the date on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will proceed to make such refund using the same means of payment employed by you for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly provided otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any expense as a result of the refund. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods, or until you have provided proof of return of the goods, whichever is the earlier.

You must return or deliver the goods directly to us or to Kamishibai Universe. Calle Talleres 9, Nave 11. 28430 Alpedrete (Madrid) SPAIN, without any undue delay and in any case no later than 14 calendar days from the date you inform us of your decision to withdraw from the contract. The deadline will be deemed to have been met if you return the goods before the end of this period. You must bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

You shall be liable only for the diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than that necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

11. Right of withdrawal for consumers and users of digital goods:

The right of withdrawal shall not apply to contracts concerning:

The supply of digital content which is not provided in a physical medium where the performance has begun with the prior express consent of the consumer and user with the knowledge on his/her part that he/she loses his/her right of withdrawal as a result.

In other words, in those products considered "virtual", understanding as such those that will not be sent but downloaded by the customer him or herself (such as music and sound downloads for the different Kamishibai stories), no return will be admitted because there is no right of withdrawal, as specified in Law 3/2014 on the Defence of Consumers and Users, and as accepted at the end of the order of the said products.
